Is custom drapery expensive?
We can work with any budget. Our large variety of drapery fabric and styles allow us to offer our customers exactly what they are looking for. The price of draperies will depend on several factors, including but not limited to; the drapery fabric you choose, the style of draperies you choose and the drapery hardware you choose. We strongly suggest you visit our store for a free consultation with one of our friendly window treatment experts and they will be able to give you ideas, details and prices for custom window treatments for your home or business.
How long does it take to make custom drapes?
We are known for our quick delivery on custom drapery. Your custom drapes will be ready in 2 to 3 weeks, which is unheard of in our industry. The industry standard is 8-10 weeks.
Can I take measurements by myself?
Yes, you can find our measurement instructions on our website that will show you exactly how to measure your windows so that we can better assist you and provide you with a price.
Can you provide me with a quote for custom drapes?
We would be more then happy to provide you with a quote for your custom drapery. You need to give us measurements of your windows (see previous question). We can then provide you with our quote over the phone or via e-mail for your convenience.
Do you sell blackout drapery?
Yes we do sell blackout drapery, and we have different option to offer you. You can purchase various blackout fabric for your curtains. Usually, blackout fabric is plain without any patterns. We can also make blackout drapery with any kind of fabric by using a blackout lining which blocks the sun completely.
Do you sell ready-made drapery?
No, we do not sell ready-made drapery. There is no standard window or standard ceiling height. Many people who buy ready made curtains have a problem since they need them adjusted and altered to properly fit their windows, and in many cases this is not possible. We believe window treatments should be unique, they shouldn’t be found in everyone’s home and they shouldn’t look boring, because your windows are the eyes to your home, and window treatments are the makeup that help make your home stand out. This is why it is vital to spend a bit more money and get custom drapery that will match your style, whether traditional, contemporary, transitional or modern, and will give your home that stylish, unique look that will not go unnoticed! Our designers will happily help you choose the perfect custom draperies for your individual situation.
I have my own fabric. Can you make the custom drapes for me?
Yes, we provide custom drapery services whether you purchase fabric from us or from someone else. However, expect to pay more if you bring your own fabric. There is a 25% surcharge for panels made with fabric not supplied by Prestige Decorating.
Can I choose the placement for my window treatments?
Yes of course! At Prestige Decor we work with our clients and help them make their dreams become reality. We will give you professional advice so you know your options, then it is up to you to choose what suits you and your home best. We will explain different width options for your draperies and the effect they have on your windows and living space. You will also have the option on selecting one of our popular drapery height positions. This will determine whether your drapes will hang off the floor, just touch the floor or sit on the floor.
What are your most popular drapery colours?
The most popular drapery fabric colours are light shades of grey or shades of ivory with accents of purple, lime green or royal blue.
What are the most popular drapery patterns?
The most popular drapery patterns are tone-on-tone, stripes and geometrical patterns. We also see lots of requests for English Country or French Provincial flower patterns. Most of the time people like to stay on the safe side by choosing more neutral patterns. Bold patterns are almost always added for custom cushions to make a statement in the room.
